My name is Name was launched as part of the Caixa Popular Chair for the Study of Social Challenges and Vulnerability at the Catholic University of Valencia (UCV) as an educational and literary initiative aimed at raising awareness of refugee children and fostering, within the classroom, a more humane and compassionate perspective towards people experiencing forced displacement.
The initiative also includes a teaching guide for teachers, which provides educational guidance on how to address topics such as forced migration, intercultural coexistence, emotional management and respect for human rights in the classroom. This material enables the content to be adapted to different educational stages, particularly for children aged 6 to 12, and promotes dialogue, understanding and solidarity among pupils.
With My name is Name, the Chair reaffirms its commitment to an education that fosters not only knowledge but also values. An education capable of building bridges between literature and life, between school and society, between the local and the global.
Because to speak of refuge is to speak of our shared humanity, and to educate through empathy, recognising our own responsibility in the face of our neighbour, is the first step towards building a fairer world
The project centres on an illustrated story that tells the tale of Name, a girl who represents all the children who have had to leave their homes because of war, violence or persecution. Her story is, at once, a tale of loss and hope, of fear and the quest for freedom. Through literature and poetry, the work invites reflection on the right to refuge, empathy and social justice, bringing these values into the educational setting.

Rozalén
Rozalén is one of the most influential artists in contemporary Spanish music.
